T206 Ty Cobb (Bat Off Shoulder) with Brown Lenox back sold for $35,499

Decent GD SGC 30 T206 Ty Cobb from the incredibly rare 1909-11 Lenox Cigarettes tobacco issue. Card still retains excellent color with a crystal clear picture image of Cobb. Card is crease free. Very well centered top to bottom and about 65/35 side to side. The main distractions are limited to a small portion of the overall surface: staining/discoloration covering a 3/8 " triangle of the lower left corner on front, very small stain just above this that translates to the otherwise relatively clean Lenox back, and a small stained? area near the top of Cobb's bat in the border. Corners have noticeable wear. This super rare card is the finest known and only one graded by either SGC or PSA.
