Circa 1910 Polar Bear Tobacco Unopened Packs sold for $2,160 and $1,740

Presented is an outstanding original Polar Bear Tobacco pack. The pack presents as Excellent or better overall, still in its unpacked original state. All original printing is intact and bold. It has never been opened. Polar Bear issued cards for both the T205 Gold Border and T206 White Border sets, and it is one of the most desirable advertising backs among collectors. Could this unopened pack contain a card of Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, or Christy Mathewson, or even maybe a rare St. Louis team variation of Ray Demmitt or Bill O’Hara, which were all included in Polar Bear packs packaged in circa 1910? We may never know, but it is a desirable item, ideal for display, relating to baseball card-collecting’s premier tobacco-card issue. We should clarify that there is absolutely no guarantee that there is, in fact, a T206 or T205 inside this unopened Polar Bear pack. There is really no way for us to know with certainty. This is a very attractive companion piece worthy of any collection of T205 or T206 Polar Bear cards or tobacco-related ephemera.

The larger pouch also presents as Excellent or better overall, with all the original printing intact and bold. It has never been opened and presents with a two- ounce 1910 tax stamp across the top and down the sides. There is a small tear along the bottom corner. Polar Bear issued cards for both the T205 Gold Border and T206 White Border sets, and it is one of the most desirable advertising backs among collectors.
